FALL 2025

MONDAYS

Kent Gardens Pickleball  (4th-6th)

Calling all 4th through 6th graders! Here's your chance to play the hottest game on the planet, PICKLEBALL!!! This will be an action packed session of learning how to play the game everyone is now playing! You will learn everything from the serve, to the volley, to the smash, and even how to hold the paddle. We will play Round Robin games of singles and doubles, also tournament-style play. 

** Equipment: Please provide your own paddle. If this is an issue, please reach out and let me know. Arrangements can be made.

 

Creative Creations  (2nd-6th)

Children will make a variety of projects that include painting, sculpture, drawing, mixed media, and other crafts that will enhance your child's creativity and imagination. Each activity will provide your child with a hands-on creative experience with a masterpiece of their own to take home. 

 

Gelli Printing  (K-6th)

Get ready for some colorful fun in this mixed-media Gelli Printing class! Students will dive into the exciting world of gelli plate printmaking, a monoprinting method using a soft, gelatin-like plate. Each week, we'll explore different ways to make amazing artwork, from using found objects to creating layered textures and experimenting with various paints. Your child will love getting delightfully messy as they experiment and express their creativity.

At the end of the program, we'll celebrate their artistic journey by mounting and displaying their favorite prints, and of course, they'll bring home all their fantastic creations to share! All supplies are included.

 

Combat Robots (K-4th)

Do you think you can build the strongest and most agile robot? Can your robot win a head-to-head combat mission? Come learn engineering strategies for building sturdy structures using LEGO® bricks and then apply that knowledge to build a robot for friendly competition. This program will challenge you to exercise your problem solving skills, as you learn how to think like an engineer. They should be prepared to have tons of fun!



TUESDAYS

Beginner Karate  (K-6th)

This class is offered by a Kent Gardens Elementary school mom who is an international Certified black belt Instructor!! This class is designed for all belt levels ages 5–11. Students learn the basic levels of martial arts while participating in a fun, exciting atmosphere. Class is tailored to student’s individual needs and helps them grow to their fullest potential. Karate classes not only focus on instruction, but also learning valuable lessons related to discipline, motivation, self-control, and continual improvement. No previous training is required! 

The activities included: Basic self-defense skills, traditional karate forms known as Kata, tumbling skills/agility, a variety of Martial Arts activities, exciting/fun games, leadership training, board breaking, performance & awards (Trophies)!!! Character development, respect and self-control are promoted during the training to help students cope with life pressures. 

The instructor for this class is a highly qualified Black Belt with international Instructor certification through the IWKA and Penn State Karate. The Instructor for this class - Sensei Mami Gebereegziabher - Renshigo 5th Degree Black belt

Martial Art uniforms are included in the cost of the class!

 

Coding  (3rd-6th)

The Coding Club introduces your student to the world of computer programming in a fun and engaging way. Students will build skills in problem-solving, creativity, logical thinking, and step-by-step planning.

They’ll explore basic coding concepts in both block-based (Scratch) and text-based (Python) environments. They’ll also gain confidence in using technology—not just for play, but for creating!

 

Books & Bracelets  K-3rd (Tues)

Students will read/listen to books and partake in a discussion.  Then, students will enjoy the opportunity to craft friendship bracelets with various themes developed by the students.  Friendship bracelet supplies will be provided, but students are welcome to bring their own beads and supplies!

 

Favorite PE Games (3rd-6th)

This is an opportunity for students in Grades 3-6 to come after school and play your favorite ALL TIME PE game. We will play Four Square, we will play Three Ball, we will play Kick ball, we will play MANY MANY more of your favorites you will get a chance to vote on!


WEDNESDAYS

Keys to Fun! Beginner Piano Class  (K-3rd)

Unlock the joy of music with this playful piano class! Students learn notes, rhythms, and short songs in a fun, hands-on environment—no experience needed! 

Rental instrument and music provided. Rental agreement must be signed. Rental instruments must be returned at the last class.

 

Cheer Stars  (K-5th)

Our ADF Cheer class is designed to introduce students to the exciting world of cheerleading! We will work on motion and jump technique, stunting, cheer dances and more! Our Cheer Coaches are current and former college and professional level cheerleaders with a passion to teach! Class will focus on exercises to improve strength, showmanship and execution technique in a positive, team environment. We will conclude with a showcase for parents and friends at the end of the session!

 

Rainbow Lab: The Art and Science of Color  (1st-6th)

Spark your child's curiosity with "Rainbow Lab: The Science and Art of Color," a class designed to blend scientific discovery with artistic expression. This program offers a unique opportunity for students to delve into the foundational principles of color theory through a dynamic mix of hands-on science experiments and creative art projects. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how colors are formed and interact, exploring concepts like primary and secondary hues, mastering color mixing techniques, and constructing their own color wheels.

The initial weeks of the program will focus on the science of color. In the latter half, students will then apply their new understanding to create their own vibrant artwork, bringing science to life on the canvas.


THURSDAYS

Cooking: Baroody’s No Bake Bonanza (K-5th)

In this session, children will get to learn in a no-bake no-stove cooking class designed for appetizers, dips, wraps, salads, finger foods, sandwiches, smoothies, desserts, and more! The young chefs will get their hands moving and taste buds singing as we dive into different culinary techniques, presentation, and easy to repeat at home recipes. Get those chef hats on, whisks ready, and appetites big for our new Mix & Munch No Bake Bonanza Class. 

 

Basketball Skills and Fundamentals Academy (3rd-6th)

Get a jump start on your winter basketball season and start reaching your basketball goals with my basketball skills academy.! This academy will help boost your confidence and improve your all around game as you develop your individual basketball skills from Mr. Avery, a coach with 25 years of coaching experience, including 6 years at Paul VI and the past 8 years with Team Durant's AAU organization on the Nike EYBL Circuit. In my 25 years I've coached more than 75 Division 1 players, including 2 who were Drafted in the 1st round of the NBA, one was a lottery pick. Register now for this one-of-a-kind opportunity.

LEGOs and Games  (2nd-6th)

Have fun relaxing and socializing after school building with Legos or playing a variety of games with friends. Toward the end of the session participants will engage in a critical thinking activity where they will invent their own Lego/Lego Character or board game. 


FRIDAYS

Advanced Karate (1st-6th)

Advanced Isshinryu Karate is a fun-filled, comprehensive fitness and self-defense program. Physical fitness, personal safety, focus/discipline, confidence, self-esteem, self-defense, and self-control are a part of the everyday fun! This program is for students that are ready to take their martial arts training to the next level. We offer an advanced program for children 1st-6th grades (K upon approval). Students will continue to improve and add to their Isshinryu Karate technique, while incorporating other advanced training with belt/rank specific testing. Students in our advanced program will have opportunities to participate in karate tournaments and international night performances. There will be an assessment for belt replacement.

Martial Art uniforms are included in the cost of the class!

 

Cats & Dogs Veterinarian Kids  (K-4th)

Enjoy unparalleled opportunities to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of veterinary medicine! Begin by adopting a stuffed animal that you can take home. Learn how to examine both cats and dogs of different breeds and assess their health, treat common illnesses, give them shots, and prepare for common dangers your pet may encounter.

 

Block Party: LEGO Meets Roblox!  (K-6th)

Welcome to the ultimate mashup of bricks and blox! In this hands-on, high-energy class, kids dive into the creative worlds of LEGO and Roblox to design, build, and play like never before. We'll construct real-world models with LEGO bricks. Students can take their designs into the digital realm of Roblox at home

Whether you’re a master builder, a budding game designer, or just love goofing around with gears and games, this class is your perfect playground. Expect challenges, teamwork, wild imagination, and a whole lot of laughter. No prior Roblox or LEGO experience needed—just bring your creativity and get ready to build across worlds!
